#Berlin announces new funding program for the German capital's #visualeffects industry!

As shooting with large crews has become unthinkable in 2020 and most likely beyond, #VFX provide a necessary tool to maintain the same visual esthetics audiences around the world have come to enjoy while keeping teams and talent safe from harm. It also enables more productions to afford dragons, fairies, aliens and robots on their payroll.

Thanks to the amazing support of the Berlin Senate, and the regional film fund Medienboard Berlin-Brandenburg, films can now claim 20% on all local VFX spend.
This can be combined with the German Federal Film Fund's DFFF II fund and will help strengthen the digital backbone of German film making.

Berlin launches €2m funding programme for city’s VFX sector

Grants of up to €500,000 per project will be awarded to cover 20% of the production costs
